Update

Wow.. I have been completely neglecting you guys for the past few weeks... My time management skills or rather blog management skills are something to be desired, lol. While I had a quick min I thought I would update you guys on contest prep and life in general. Ill keep it short and as sweet as possible.

Saturday marked 8 weeks out from the Palmetto Cup and 9 from Jr. USA. My body is just responding so well to my diet and training that I really havent been killing myself like last year. I did start 23 weeks out and boy am I glad I did because the slower you can take it the better off you are. I haven't had to be a cardio bunny either. Really I would say the past two weeks I've stepped it up from 30-45 mins every few days to 45-60 mins almost everyday. I just have a little bit of body fat that im holding around my belly button, thighs and on my back but other than that I'm solid! I never would have thought I would be this pleased with my progress so far out from my show. Alot can happen in 8 weeks my friends.  We have the BEST coach and I'm blessed to have the most supportive husband. Those two have truly made life alot easier for me. Granted im doing the work but they push me 110%.

I failed to take pictures on Saturday. I dont know what I was thinking.... Oh I know, that I would do it Sunday and then didnt, lol. Sa la vie.

This Saturday for sure though. Oh and I got my brand new blinging suit to show off as well. Ill tell you guys all about it on Saturday, where I got it from and all. Your gonna LOVE IT!!!

Well im off to do meal plans and workouts for some clients!!! And if you have emailed me recently I promise im working on yours as well ;-)

Have a fit Monday!!

End of week 23...

As some of you may know I have now started my pre contest diet for 2012. I know what you might be thinking.... What the heck! Why are you starting your diet when your 5 months from your show? Well friends I have to be ahead of the curve and The Boss said it's time lol. It's ok though because I was ready. Mentally anyway....

I started Monday (12/12) because Saturday night we had a Christmas party and I knew that wasn't the day I should go cold Turkey lol. So Monday kicked it off and really the week went great. There were a few times that I struggled during the week however I managed to push though and stay on track. I'll post this week how fight those nasty food craving and kind of things I crave (yes pizza is on the list but yall knew that!)

Here is a sample of my diet for those of you interested.

4:30am Whey Protein Shake
5am Training
7:30am Egg Whites & oatmeal
10:30am Whey Protein Shake
1:30am Grilled Chx, Mixed Green Salad and Red Potato
4:30pm Chx and Mixed Green Salad
7:30pm Tuna with Green Veggies

My supplements include multivitamin and vitamin c two times daily.

My training has stayed pretty much the same except that I've added cardio and really upped the intensity of my workouts. This was quite a challenge this week. The lack of carbs starting affecting Wednesday so I added a few extra to one of my meals. Friday morning I had no energy and no motivation to workout, and so that session lasted about 45mins.

Saturday we took the day off because we had some shopping to do, and so today we hit it again. We ended up working out around 2:30 and I had plenty of energy to get through a new crazy workout I tried out. I'll post it tomorrow and explain it all to you. INTENSE!!!!

Ne who I hope you all are starting to atleast think about your 2012 goals and getting plans in place to execute those goals. I'm back in business and I'm here to motivate in any way that I can. Really, you guys motivate me which is what I need the most right now.

I'll be blogging alot more now that I MUST stay on track!!!! If you all get a chance post your 2012 goals in the comment box below. Whatever the goals maybe ;-)

I look forward to hearing from you all. See ya tomorrow!!!

Tuesday Things

Hi Gang! Happy First Day of Summer! Finally.... Although Mr. Britton and I haven't really spent much time outside this summer. Here in South Carolina it's been extremely hott. Like so hot you can hardly breath. At 5am when we are headed to the gym you could cut the humidity with a freshly sharpened knife!
Thing One
This morning, as some of  you on Facebook know, I made it through another day of spin class! GO me. It was so hard today. Hills! And lots of them. If you've never taken a spin class... Do it ASAP. I love it! Before we even started class I already had it in my mind that I was going to push myself really hard and I did. When Kelly would say "add on" I would crank it up. I guess I was pushing myself a little to hard at times or just making a terrible OMG! face because several times when I thought I was going to die, Kelly would be like "You ok Britney?" "Oh yea I'm fine!" (as I gasp for air). But what's funny is, I love it. I'm just not as conditioned as the rest of regulars are. Give me a few more weeks and Ill be good to go!
Thing Two
Today at 4pm we have a meeting with an attorney to go over plans for our new business. Very exciting! Im super nervous though because I really don't know what to expect. What kind of questions will he ask? Will this meeting determine weather or not we move forward? OH! So much to ponder. However lots to look forward to ;-)
Thing Three

Training
Training has been going well. I can really see my arms starting to develop and my weight is staying the same which is good for me right now. I only gained 10 pounds post contest so I am pleased with that. Joshua was right on with our diets and training program however we are both getting a little restless. The coach we used to get us in shape for the Palmetto Cup really gave us some great tools to help us maintain but we are ready to start growing. We really need to utilize the next 10 months as much as we can and with Jr. USA's in May I really need to step it up (because those girls are already ahead of me. YIKES). So we have enlisted the help of Eric Jones. He was Mr. South Carolina in 2008 and has been competing since 1988! Amazing. I can only hope that my contest career is that long.

The video I posted yesterday of the 57 year old man who has been competing for 4 years, never really had abs before and finally won a show, yea Eric helped him get there....So as you can see he's pretty much got what it takes to make someone a winner.

Here is a picture of his State ring. WOWZA! I want one to!
Joshua and I are so excited to work with him. We have a workout/meeting set up with him on Saturday. He is basically going to go through a workout with us, go over our nutrition, look at our workout logs, asses our photos from the contest and go over a lot of details! He is so well prepared and asked us to bring what I thought were great items he would need to put together the best training program for each of us. Next Tuesday I'll be sure to update you guys on how the meeting went. I know it will be great!

So that's a few Tuesday things. I hope you all are having a great day. I'm off to get ready for our meeting with the attorney. Wish us luck ;-)

Motivational Monday

What's Next For Brit Brit

I hope you all are having a productive and most importantly a hap hap happy Monday ;-) I know I am, lol. This morning started off great. I woke up at 4am, like Im supposed to but never do, lol. Mister Joshua didn't even have to push me out of bed or tell me 7 times "Baby! It's time to get ready." I just got up, made my pre-workout meal, dressed, helped him out with getting ready and then we were at the gym by 5:20am and pushing heavy weight. Man, does it feel good to get back to the gym and on our routine. I feel so good. I'm sure all the carbs and bad food I had last week aided this glorious mood I'm in. Last week I just took it easy breezy and ate some foods that I wanted, had dessert everyday, and worked out a few times. Nothing crazy (except Memorial Day when we went to do cardio at 5 am, that was maybe a little crazy).  However, yesterday I was ready to have my last dessert for the week, get back to my clean foods and start my new plan.

What is this new plan you might be asking? I have made a HUGE decision. Well actually 3 HUGE decisions but I'll slowly introduce them to you as they develop. The first decision I'll share with you all is my next competition that I plan on entering. I have given this thought many hours of consideration over the past week. That's part of the reason I took it so easy last week. I knew I was about to get into something that would require heavy, detailed planning, focus, motivation and more effort than I ever put into my first prep. Drum roll please............... I am going to do:

2011 Figure Overall Winner Jr. USA Championship
Guys and Gals, this is BIG. I mean the best women come here to compete for their Pro cards. I placed 5th in my class at my 1st show which qualified me to enter this show. Please dont think that I think I'm ready for this level of competing. I know just because I qualified doesn't mean that I have to enter it, but I want to. No, I'm not physically ready to compete with that caliber of women. I have so much to work on to even be competitive with these women, however, I feel like I earned a chance to go and if I don't utilize this opportunity then it was wasted. I never want to waste any chances I'm given in this industry. I am not looking for top 5 or even top 10, I just want the experience. I want to see what it's like to be on a National Level stage. That's why I am taking the next 50 weeks to prepare. I've talked to Joshua at length about this and he is all about me doing it. I've also talked to my trainer Matt Helton and he's ready to put me through the paces. I made him well aware of the fact that I knew what I was going up against and I knew what it was going to take to get there but most important, I will do the WORK!

My goals for this show are as follows:
Build more lean muscle in my upper body and mid-section
Refine my middle back, quads and glutes
And really perfect my stage presence (including my suit, hair and makeup)

How am I going to do this?
Lifting heavy weights, keeping a clean diet all year, having support and knowledge from my husband and trainer, and PUSHING MYSELF!!!

Even if I come in dead last it won't be because I didn't try like hell! Competing at the Jr. USA show will also help me with my following show at the Excalibur in August 2012 also in Charleston, SC. Joshua and I will doing that one together. I'm really looking forward to competing with him again! It truly makes the whole experience that much better.

So that's the plan for our next competitions. We both have so much work ahead of us but when you want something bad enough you will do whatever it takes to get to that next level. How do you know where your going in life if you don't know where you've been? Take those chances and risk friends. It's ok to be scared of the unknown, however it's not ok to have regret. If I didn't do this show I would regret it and that's just NOT OK with me.

What kind of risk are you all taking? or have ever wanted to take? It's never to late to start now!

Show Recap

First of all I just want to start by saying this past weekend was one of the most of amazing times of my life. I'm still on a high from it. Joshua and I are so proud of ourselves and so glad that we went through this experience together. It's only the beginning for us....

There is so much to share with you all that I'll just start with Friday and kind of hit the highlight's. So, on Friday morning we woke up, showered and then headed off to get our spray tans done by our friend Ashley Lowe. She did an amazing job. It didnt take very long at all and we laughed and giggled the whole time. Although the weather was terrible that morning. It rained and rained and rained some more. Which kind of concerned us because we COULD NOT get our tans wet, however by the time we got out of Ashley's office the rain had subsided enough for us to jump in the car and get back home.

Once we were home we started making all of our food for the day and Saturday. Let's just say it wasn't much, lol. Mostly fish, turkey, potato's, homemade almond butter and rice cakes. We were starving every hour after we ate but had to hold out till the next meal which was so hard. So after all the packing and preparing was done we left for Columbia, SC around 12:30. The whole way down Joshua and I talked about how excited we were, what we thought the experience of being on stage was going to be like and where we came from to this point. All the hard work and dedication we had put into this journey had been totally worth it no matter how we did on stage. That was our motto for the whole trip.

When we arrived at the Sheraton we were immediately greeted by a bell hop and valet to take our car, which was so nice! The inside of the hotel was so beautiful. It was a very old building with loads of charm but had a very modern feel inside. I loved all the furniture! LOL. Our was room was just as nice as the rest of the hotel to. Which made me VERY happy. The view from our king size bed was great to! Once we were all settled in we took a short cat nap and then headed over to host hotel to register.

At registration there really weren't a lot of contestants there just yet. Just a few. The eager ones I would say. Registration went really quick so went to Walmart to pick up some last minute items. This was a funny experience because I needed some double sided tape so my suit would stay in place on the bottom. Well, we really couldn't find any and had to ask a Walmart employee in the DIY section. He showed me all kinds of tape and Joshua just kept telling him no that wont work for what we needed it for. Finally I just told him,"Listen I need it so my suit won't go up my butt when I'm on stage"... He started dying laughing and was like "TMI, Wow the things people use everyday items for, I learn something new everyday working here, lol". We then told him about using the preparation H on our stomachs and thighs to make everything a bit tighter and he got a kick out of that one, lol.

That night we practiced our posing, had some rice cakes and then went to bed fairly early. Joshua had a really hard time sleeping but I was out like a light. He said he was little pissed at me for falling asleep so fast and snoozing all night because he had a million things on his mind. My little worrier ;-)

The next morning he was up at 5am (maybe even earlier) and then I was up a few mins later. We rinsed off and started getting ready. I was having serious problems with my hair and make up though. The weather was humid from all the rain so my hair was not cooperating and my makeup was not looking the way I wanted it to. Next show someone else will be doing it for sure! OH and if you've never worn fake eyelashes before, I suggest you practice!! Let's just say they ended up in the garbage before we made it out the door....

We checked in at pre-judging and then waited and waited and waited a little more, lol. However while we waited we met a lot of other competitors who were really nice. They gave us some tips and told us mostly to just relax and have a great time! After all the waiting and the meetings were over it was time for the pre-judging to begin. This is probably the most important part of the contest for competitors. This is where the judges really make their final decision so you really have to give it your all! I went on stage before Joshua and then of course I was the first one in my class to go up first which made me soooooo nervous! I really didn't get to see class A figure girls do their posing so I really didn't know what to expect. The expediter was great and he told me exactly what to do and where to stand so that helped. Once I walked out on stage it was all she wrote.... The movie star in me just popped out and well, you can see for yourself.
So once I was on stage and found Joshua in the crowd (you really cant see past the first few rows its so bright on stage and dark in the audience), something inside me just clicked and I just turned it on. I could hear Matt, our trainer, yelling at me to "tighten those abs, squeeze those hams, show those glutes!!!" and so on. Let me say this was a TREMENDOUS help. It calmed me down and let me foucus and what I should be doing. At the first call out I was not in it and thought "oh well I tried"..Then they called me out, and called me out again and again. OMG what does that mean?

Once I walked off stage I found Matt and Z. They hugged me told me how great I did and that I was definitely in the Top 5. I was like what? really? how do you know? Matt told me that the last call out was your top five girls so get ready for a trophy!!! I didn't know what to think. I mean this is my first show and those girls have some banging bodies up there. I just felt like I needed a lot more work to compete with them....

Then it was my Joshua's turn. I was so nervous for him but I knew he was going to do great! And he did!!!! He looked amazing up there!

There we so many guys in his class and that really shocked all of us. Not to mention some of them were huge and shredded. Joshua entered the novice class which is supposed to be for 1st time bodybuilders. Guys that have never stepped on a stage, however, that just didn't seem to be this case. Matt said that sometimes it can happen but not to let that get to him or take away from how incredible he looked! When Joshua came off stage he was beaming with pride and was very proud of himself for meeting his goal. He never sises to amaze me.....

After pre-judging we went out for burgers! Five guys was ready and waiting for us, lol. Joshua and I both had burgers with no buns and shared some fries and a coke. We then went back to the room to wait for the night show.

The night show was just as fun and was bit more glammed up. The stage was decorated and it all looked really nice. This time Joshua went first and did his routine. Again, another great performance from him. He rocked his routine and got lots of claps! The top 3 guys in his class received trophies, so as of right now we're not sure where he fell in the placing. We should know by today though ;-)

Joshua's Pre-Judging Routine

Then it was my turn. I was so relaxed at this point and not nervous at all. Just ready. I was first again in my class and did my thang, then the rest of the girls did theirs. After we were all done it was time for the trophies. To my surprise they called my name...OMG my jaw hit the floor!!! I walked out so happy and the trophy girl placed it in front of my feet... WOW.... 5th place out of  8. All I wanted to do was look like I belong and well I guess I did a little more than that ;-)

After the show we all went out for pizza and beer! Joshua and I were so high from the experience all we could do was talk about how much fun we had and that we couldn't wait till next year!!!

This was the most challenging goal I have ever tried to tackle. If someone would have told me that last April that I would be losing 60 pounds and competing in a figure competition I would have laughed. But I can now say that yes, I am a figure competitor.

Some of you are wondering what now? What does Top 5 even mean? I asked the same questions and found this out:

Since it was a National Qualifying show, I have one year to compete in a National Show. There are two shows I can compete in next spring so till then that's what I'll be working towards. I need to put on more muscle in my upper body and work on my midsection. Next year I'll come in much leaner also. This week Matt will give me some feed back as well as the judges. Can't wait to hear what they have to say! I'll also meet with an IFBB Pro to work on my posing and overall presentation.

Joshua also knows what he wants to improve on for next year as well. We both have been bitten by the bodybuilding bug and LOVE IT!

Thank you to everyone who supported us the last 22 weeks. We truly couldn't have gotten this far with out our trainer Matt Helton and he wonderful wife Z. They were a blessing to us. And a big thank you as well to our family for encouraging us to keep going and not give up! As well as our friends for supporting us and still being there at the end ;-). We both love you all!!!!
Thank you to Taylor, Valerie (Joshua's Mom) and Granny Nelda (Joshua's Granny) for coming with us and supporting us this weekend. Also to Doug and Julie Wertz for coming to our show and supporting as well!
We love you guys so much!

Im BACK!!

Have ya'll missed me? Well if you haven't that's ok cause I've missed you guys. Please accept my sincere apology for being MIA for the past few days. I have been so caught up in "prep" that every spare min I think I have to blog all I really want to do is relax and then I get busy doing something other than what I really wanted to do. I guess I need to recap the weekend for guys and the past few days. Lot's have been going on. Let's start with Friday:

Well last week was really tough for me. The lack of carbs was really and I mean really, getting to me. I was in a funk all week. On Friday we were able to sleep in a few extra hour's because Joshua didn't have to go into to work. When we got to the gym I was already exhausted and we hadn't even started. I just felt run down and really starved. I mean I eat 6 meals a day but each meal only consist of a protein and a veggie. After a while your body literally starts begging you for carbs. The only thing that got me though the workout was knowing that when we finished I would be able to have that yummy protein banana shake again. However, before the shake was able to grace my lips, Joshua and I were at each others throat's (really just yelling at each other, lol. I'm dramatic, I know). I'm truly surprised this hasn't happened sooner, lol. I mean we're together 24-7. We love spending every moment that we can with each other, however when we are both depleted of carbs, exhausted, and moody that's like a recipe for disaster. We've kept it together for so long that we just cracked....

Saturdays Dinner: Talapia with White Rice and Salsa
What's funny is 2 mins later we were both fine and not even mad. We know that we have BOTH been very difficult to deal with and we can't take out frustration's on other people or each other because it's not fair. We choose to do this to ourselves. We both have good days and bad days but we always support each other no matter what. Friday was just inevitable...

Saturday was better. First thing that morning with breakfast we got to have oatmeal! Let me tell you, this was treat. Then at lunch we had a baked potato and then for dinner white rice.

We were both so happy that we could hardly stand it! The influx of carbs was a God send. We really needed it and our bodies responded with a "Thank You"..

Sunday! MMM, Egg Whites, 2 Pancakes with Sugar Free Maple Syrup and Coffee

Egg Whites with Salsa and Waffles

How you like them bags and dark circles under my eyes? Hottie, lol...
Sunday was even better because with breakfast we had PANCAKES!! Joshua made his into waffles instead but then he couldn't eat them all, lol. I took a few snap shots. We were feeling pretty good at this point and were ready to tackle the day! We had an amazing workout. We both felt so strong. That afternoon I cleaned the house, Joshua and Taylor tackled the yard for a few hours, we napped, watched our fav TV programs and then Joshua posed for a few hours.

Before bed that night he wanted to show me what he had been working on and well, he totally shocked me. He looked great and I love his routine. He's going to do awesome at the show!!

Now on to Monday. At 9am we met with our trainer Matt. He wanted to see how we were looking, run thorough posing and give us instructions for "peak week". Joshua wasn't feeling to great and Matt said it was due to coming down from all the carbs we were allowed over the weekend. It's amazing how the body reacts when it doesn't get what it wants. This is where mental focus comes in and you really have to be in control of your body. During the meeting Matt let us know that we were going to do fine, especially seeing as how this is our first show. The rest of this week is mainly eating, drinking lots of water, slowing down on workouts, and resting. He said that by the time Saturday rolls around were going to be totally wiped out. I can see that being the case. At this point, I'm just keeping it together and staying busy so I don't even have to think about how I'm feeling right now.

I'm tired. Plain and simple.

On a fun note (not that all this prep isn't fun ;-)) we made almond butter for the first time! Joshua actually made it last night and it turned out awesome. Better than what you can buy in a store. Let's just say we will never be buying almond butter again!
Our Homemade Almond Butter!!!

I promise to keep you guys posted the rest of the week of what's going on with us since were so close to "D Day"! 5 days.... Can you believe it. I mean it has been 22 weeks of training, dieting, and staying mentally and physically focused. I have definitely pushed myself to my limits and yes it has all been worth it. I can promise you that.....

Well, I'm off to do a few things around the house, clean up the car and few other errands.

All Dried Out......

17 Days To Go!

Happy Wednesday folks! I thought I would fill you all in on this weeks progress and a little project that I've started :-)
My hands are sore and callused! Not a good look for me....

So Monday morning's workout was hard as you know (boo for cardio), Tuesday morning's workout was even harder. Imagine that, lol. We did a crazy chest and back routine that our trainer put together for us. He said he wanted us to be sore this week and he meant it! My arms are killing me today. This morning's workout wasn't any easier. We had legs (insert doom and gloom music here)..... We got through it and well, lets just say I'm a little nervous about what tomorrow is going to look like. We've been getting our workouts the day before so it kind of keeps us in suspense about what's coming up. Definitely not the usual way we workout. Everything is so controlled and predictable but this week has been different and I kind of like it just for the simple reason that everyday is different including our diet.

The diet change before this I kind of had a hard time with in the evenings. I had white fish on the menu for my last meal and for some reason I just couldn't find a good fish I really liked but I think I figured out the problem this go around. It was the fish it's self. We had been buying Swai from Walmart because it was really good and a fair price. Well of course they stopped carrying it and so I tried the flounder. That was ok. Ive never been a big fan of Talapia even though I know that's what I should be eating. So the previous diet change I bought Talapia again and hated it once again. Something about the taste was so awful. I can't really describe it but it wasn't good. This time when we went shopping we decided to give it ANOTHER try and low and behold.... I love it, lol. I have learned that you need to get the individually wrapped and sealed to get a better quality and that makes all the difference. Problem solved ;-)

So on to what I really want to blog about. On Monday I told ya'll that my mother in law gave me a dehydrator. Well on Tuesday I had to drop by the store again and get a few things. I needed some lemons for the fish and happened to see that BiLo had their clearance fruits and veggies out. I love that about our BiLo's here. Everyday they go through all the fruit and veggies and whatever looks like it needs to sell that day they put in these huge $1.50 bags. I bought probably 5lbs of apples for $1.50 and snap green beans to! Love that deal. We took full advantage of it last summer.

Yesterday I did tons of research on dehydrating and preserving fruits and veggies. Remember Monday I said I was going to go all "natural" or more "earth friendly" this summer well I've begun. I dehydrated my first set of apples Monday night and they turned out awesome! So I did it again last night and this morning I took some pictures for ya'll. Let me just say now that I'm going to get tons of use of that thing. I put it on the top of my list of the things she has given me over the years (she gives me things all the time and I love that to).

My New Nesco Dehydrator
Apple Chips as they were drying out
Final product. Sooo good and full of flavor
(Sorry about blurry pics. Had to take them with my phone at 4:30am, lol)

These Apple chips turned out so good! They are full of flavor and held their color very well. The directions said to pre-treat them so I used lemon juice and honey. It gives them a glaze kind of. Joshua and Taylor were like YUM. So this summer I plan on doing a lot more dehydrating of fruits and veggies and have a few ideas of what I'm going to do with them all.

I also did some research on canning. I bought 25 canning jars from a thrift store yesterday. I got a good deal on them. But first I need to buy the water bath canner and all the tools to do it with. I'm going to wait till after the show to do all that though because it's a long process and I want to visit the farmers market for some stock. I also need my mother in law to show me what the heck I'm doing. I'm super excited about this new little project!!! Maybe I'll start a blog about that to! Let's see how the first canning session goes and we'll go from there, lol. I have a tendency to start to many things at one time. Joshua is always having to bring me back down to Earth. The rule is one project at a time.... but who follows the rules any way?

What kind of projects do you guys plan on this summer? Other than getting and staying in shape... that's a given people.

Motivational Monday & Weekend Recap

I hope that everyone had a very Happy Mother's Day. We spent the weekend with our Mom's in Dalton & Cleveland. We were really happy to see them since we live about 3 1/2 hours away and have been CONSUMED with prepping (19 days out by the way ;-)) We also went to a surprise birthday party for a friend and had a great time and didn't even drink! Although social events just aren't quit the same without a cold one in your hand......
My cute little parents

Friday I had a small melt down over chicken and broccoli but I soon got over it with a few tears and a reminder that were in the final stretch so food at this point is going to be no fun, lol. You would think I would know this by now.

Saturday however, I had a great workout and then we headed to see the Mom's. The trip down was little frustrating but once we got there all was good. That night we went out to dinner but did very well. While everyone else downed cocktails,  passing bread and appetizers, Joshua & I had unsweet tea, salad and shared a steak & veggies. Although he did get a sweet potato which he was allowed and I did fine while he ate it ;-)  We then went to a late night birthday party for my "uncle" and did well there to but we were so tired and left a little early.

Sunday we had a great breakfast with Joshua's Mom and Granny. They are such sweeties and we always have such a good time when there around. Joshua's Mom also hooked me up a new and shiny dehydrator! I was super excited about that. This summer I plan on getting a little more "organic" or really just eating and preserving more "natural good for you foods". Ill blog about that another day.

After we enjoyed the morning and sunshine with the family we headed home and to the grocery store, boooooo.

Normally this is a happy thing but not so much yesterday. We were given strict instructions for our new phase of diets and let me tell ya it's pretty plain and simple:
Egg Whites
Boiled Chicken
Talapia
Broccoli
Asparagus
Green Beans

Yeah I know.

This morning we worked calf's and ab's AND 90 MINS OF CARDIO! WHAT THE...... I've never done 90 continuous minutes of cardio. It was very hard! Thank goodness I had Joshua right beside me pounding it out to. At one point I thought we both were going to be sick! But low and behold we made it through ;-) See that's the thing about killing it in the gym. Just when you think your going to die or barf up your pre workout drink, keep going! The feeling will go away and if it doesn't and you actually barf, then a job well done because that means your working your butt off!!!! I know that we only have a few more workouts and the days are slowly dwindling down so that means there are no excuses and no make up sessions. Let's git 'er done!!!!

Here's to finding your NorthStar......
